These general conditions apply to all day trips, tours and travel packages from Kemet Experience. The participant tacitly agrees with these conditions by booking one of our tours, excursions or travel packages.
Participants must be in possession of a valid passport that is valid at least six months after leaving Egypt. If the journey can’t be made through the lack of proper documents or only partially, all resulting costs are borne by the participant.
The participant is required to follow the instructions of the Kemet Experience representative or tour guide and is liable for damages caused by the breach of this obligation. If the participant is causing such a strong inconvenience or nuisance that it is complicating the proper execution of the trip, the representative of Kemet Experience has the right to exclude the participant from further participation in the trip. All resulting costs shall be borne by the participant.
In case of emergency, we are obliged to help the participant and offer assistance. This can be severely hampered if no appeal can be made to a travel insurance with SOS assistance. Participants are therefore required to be fully covered by a travel insurance and provide us with a copy of the insurance policy upon request.
Kemet Experience has the right to cancel the trip in case of abnormal and unforeseeable circumstances and force majeure (natural disasters, political conflicts, war, etc.). In these cases, the participant is entitled to a similar journey, or a refund of (the already paid portion of) the fare.
Kemet Experience is responsible for the proper execution of the travel agreement. The execution should also be assessed on the basis of the customs and habits and the restrictions that the destination of the journey entails, and the nature of the trip should be taken into account.
Kemet Experience is not liable for:
A. Tour price currency is set to USD, but can be paid in Euro or British pound. The prices quoted per person per tour are all-inclusive and prices are always updated to ensure you receive the lowest price possible. Once your tour is confirmed we guarantee the price will not be changed.
B. A full payment will be required upon confirming your booking and can be paid online by debit or credit card (Visa / MasterCard) trough our website.
C. After your tour is confirmed we will email a final confirmation and a voucher to print and to bring with you. Details will include contact numbers of your tour operator and customer care and additional information for your convenience.
D. Kemet Experience does not charge a cancellation fee for tours and excursions canceled for ‘force majeure’ reasons such as natural disasters, political conflicts, war, etc. which are beyond your control.
E. If cancellation happens due to personal or business reasons and Kemet Experience has already incurred costs on your behalf, these costs will be transferred to you.
F. For cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to departure: 100% of the fare will be charged.
G. Any complaints during the tour or excursion are to be discussed directly with the tour leader / representative of Kemet Experience.
Under EU legislation, a travel package is defined as any combination of two or more travel services (services like accommodation, transport or excursions) with a duration of 24 hours or more.
The combination of travel services offered to you constitutes a travel package within the meaning of the Package Travel Directive (EU) 2015/2302 This means that you are entitled to make claims under all EU legislation applying to travel packages.
In order to meet its statutory obligation to provide a guarantee, Kemet Experience uses STO Garant for all travel packages. STO Garant is a guarantee scheme, recognised by the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) . It consists of an escrow account in which your payment is held until your trip has come to an end. As the traveller, you do not pay Kemet Experience, but instead pay the booking sum into the escrow account belonging to Stichting Derdengelden Certo Escrow, a payment service provider registered with the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) and the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM). Stichting Derdengelden Certo Escrow processes all payments on behalf of STO Garant.
The booking payment is released to Kemet Experience by the escrow account the day after your trip has come to an end. If Kemet Experience files for bankruptcy or is granted a suspension of payments before your trip comes to an end, the booking sum will be released to Stichting Take Over (STO). Depending on the situation, STO will then ensure that the booking sum is refunded to you, that you are able to continue on your trip, or that you are able to travel to the final destination on your journey.
Kemet Experience has therefore protected itself against insolvency through STO Garant. If services are not provided by Kemet Experience due to insolvency, travellers can contact STO Garant, which has its offices at Torenallee 20, 5617 BC Eindhoven, Netherlands, by sending an email to email@example.com or by calling +31 (0)85 13 02 943.
After making the booking, Kemet Experience will send you the necessary information for making the payments. The full booking sum must be paid into the escrow account before the trip commences. This applies to all bookings.
All prices are per person and based on the prices, exchange rates and taxes as they were known during the compilation of the trips. When rate changes occur, Kemet Experience reserves the right to adjust prices. Participants shall be informed immediately of any such changes. If the price increase exceeds 10% of the total amount, then the journey can be canceled by the participant within 8 days without charge.
The specified duration includes the days of departure and arrival. Guided tours are compiled based on the available information that was previously obtained. In situations of force majeure caused by changes in timetables, natural disasters, strikes, political disputes, mechanical breakdowns, weather conditions, etc., changes to the program are necessary, or travel may lapse. Participants are informed immediately in writing in case of changes before the date of departure.
If a force majeure situation occurs during a trip and changes in the trip are therefore needed, it shall be discussed with the participants. The representative of Kemet Experience takes the final decision and has the right to make changes to the original route, the (tour) program, the schedule and matters relating to accommodation and transport.
The following cancellation charges apply:
Any complaints during the trip are to be discussed directly with the tour leader / representative of Kemet Experience. If this is not possible or if there is no satisfactory solution found, a complaint in writing can be filed within two weeks after the trip has ended.
